Our Education Support Programme is a three year development programme supporting learners as they progress through Grades 10, 11 and 12. The programme provides consistent, individualised support throughout these important final years of school, helping learners participate fully in school life, develop their strengths and prepare for the opportunities, choices and pathways they will encounter as they consider their future.  

 

Learners are primarily supported within their existing school environments, working alongside schools, families and learners to understand their individual circumstances, needs, strengths and aspirations.

We recognise that no two learners have the same circumstances, interests or needs. Our approach therefore allows support to be tailored to each learner, addressing practical barriers that may limit their participation while creating opportunities for academic, personal and broader development, such as:

• Education: School fees, learning materials, stationery, tutoring and academic support.

• Sport & Cultural Participation: Coaching, equipment, sports kits, cultural attire, musical instruments and participation costs.

• Personal Development: Mentorship, specialised training, leadership development and additional lessons.

• Enrichment & Exposure: Educational tours, exchanges, excursions and other experiences that broaden a learner's perspective.

• Transport & Boarding: Transport and boarding support where required to enable access to education and participation.

• Health & Wellbeing: Nutrition, counselling, emotional wellness and other wellbeing support.

• Additional Support: Assistance with unforeseen or emergency needs that could otherwise create barriers to education or participation.
   

We recognise that talent takes many forms. A learner's potential may be demonstrated through academic achievement, sport, culture and creativity, leadership, service or a combination of these. We aim to provide the support and opportunities needed for learners to develop their individual strengths, explore their interests and gain a clearer understanding of the possibilities available to them.

Why Grades 10, 11 & 12?

By Grade 10, many young people are already beginning to demonstrate particular strengths, interests and areas of potential. The final three years of school provide an important period in which these can be developed further.  It is also a significant time of transition. Learners begin making decisions about subjects, tertiary education, careers and other opportunities, while developing greater independence and a clearer understanding of themselves and their future.

With consistent support during these years, learners can build confidence, skills, experience and direction, while being better equipped to make informed decisions about their futures.  Our long term aim is to help young people move towards positive pathways in further education, employment, leadership, entrepreneurship and active participation in their communities.
